Sneak peek of the newest project. This is all you get for now, but stay tuned because I'm really excited about this one and I think you will be too!!

Oh, look! New mugs. . .

I love Christmas time! I've been listening to Bing Crosby all day! And in the photo below, my trusty partner untangles the decorations. . . such a good helper.

Custom Order Christmas

Many of you have asked me if I will be doing custom orders for Christmas gifts. . . .the answer is YES! I will be accepting orders until November 30th in order to get it all done on time. SO, email me and tell me what you have in mind for your loved ones. I will be happy to customize with names and dates etc. . .

These are examples of the new magnet design. They are large and very strong! You'll throw all your other magnets away!  Plus, they look pretty cool on the fridge :) Email me if you'd like to customize a set for that special someone. I have letters, numbers, animals, birds, patterns, textures and more!

These are a perfect gift for that newly married or engaged couple you know. Choose from different shapes and colors. $6 each.

XOXO,

Deep Fried Oreos and Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream. . .

Little Ox Pottery has been crazy busy lately! At last minute I decided to enter into two craft shows, the Gallatin Main Street Festival, and the Bell Buckle Webb School show. That meant I had to get busy!

Luckily I had a lot of really good help to get the job done. It was so fun to prepare for our first craft shows, and even more fun to see people really loving all the pieces! Thank you to all that came out and visited our booth! We still have LOTS of pottery leftover.  Message me for details if you'd like to shop for Christmas!

Circus-themed monogrammed dishes (before being fired and glazed). A popular item at the Bell Buckle show!

Here's my awesome Bell Buckle help! Maggie is the best pottery packer I have ever seen! Apparently she used to work at a sandwich shop and that's where she learned her superb wrapping skills.

And this is just ONE of the wonderful deep fried treasures found at the Bell Buckle craft show. Home made potato chips topped with cheese, bacon, and of course. . . ranch dressing. SO SO good. Also available were deep fried oreos, snickers bars, moon pies, and twinkies. . .What??!! I had a funnel cake for breakfast on Sunday, why? Because my assigned booth location just happened to be located right next to a funnel cake booth. Coincidence? I don't think so!

Just one of the many wall hangings we brought along with us. This particular one is still available!

Our sweet little Christmas tree. .

This is one of my faves. A grumpy Centaur magnet!

While I worked like a mad-woman to get ready for the craft shows, I also had a few Little Ox Workshops going on. My latest was just this past Monday at the home of Angela Knoll. These ladies know how to make a girl feel special! Angela had prepared for a pumpkin themed evening, complete with pumpkin chili (maybe the best chili I've ever had. . . ), chips and pumpkin salsa, and lastly (and most importantly) autumn spice cake with pumpkin pie ice cream! I only WISH I had taken photos of the food. It was awesome.

If you are interested in hosting a Little Ox Workshop at your house, or at JoZoara Coffee Shop, email me for booking! Little Ox Pottery no longer does the weekly open workshop at JoZoara's, but its the perfect place to host one with friends! I LOVE their coffee and their friendly service!  Thanks for following Little Ox Pottery!

Clay and Sunshine

Whoa. So much to blog about! I guess I'm a little bit behind. . Oh well!

First of all I'd like to share what just came out of the kiln! Our very first at-home workshop was SO MUCH fun! There was pizza, wine, candy, cookies, and clay! There were 17 of us, and we made trinket dishes and magnets.

I would love to come do a workshop at your place too! The host gets a free workshop, as well as other freebies. Please contact me if you're interested!

So, I spent most of yesterday packaging, which was actually really fun too. Plus, I had a little "helper".

Beautiful weekend! I did so much! I worked in the studio all weekend long, and still managed to squeeze in the Nashville Tomato Festival, as well as a studio campout (complete with hot dogs, regular dogs, and lots of studio playtime), with four of my dear friends.

Then Monday came and we all went our separate ways. I had a workshop at JoZoara Coffee
Shop in Murfreesboro that night.

Umm, check out the beautiful banana split latte they made me! It was just what I needed. Especially the whipped cream, and toppings! Still my favorite.

Whew! I must blog more often!

Thanks for checking in on Little Ox Pottery! Please contact me for information on booking a workshop. I am now booking ornament parties for the Christmas season!

Little Ox Goes to the Beach!

Well, our first vacation as a family was a success! Except. . . . I failed to get that traditional family photo of us on the beach. . . I know, unacceptable. You must understand though, that my hands had sunscreen all over them and I had my giant camera with me (should have brought the tiny and accessible camera instead) And by the time all 15 of us made the move to the beach with all our supplies, I was tired!  At least this is how I justify it to myself. .

Here's just a taste. . . .

We went to Gulf Shores with Dusty's family. Ten adults and five children ages 7 and under, four of which are boys. . . . quite a wild bunch.

This is Pierce. He is almost 3. Check out his sweet tattoo. Yeah, he's bad.

Maddox and Preston. They are only 5 weeks apart and already buds. Papa (Dusty's Dad) calls them Cletus and Roscoe. . .

Sweet Hayden. She turned 3 on the day we left Gulf Shores. She is having a princess themed birthday party in a week or so, and got her ears pierced while we were away. Hello Kitty earrings, how fun is that! Makes me kind of want a little girl of my own. I said kind of!

Not a family portrait on the beach, but this time it will have to do.

This was our neighborhood for the week. Nothing but beach houses as far as the eye could see. It was beautiful. I think I could live in one of these permanently.

We had an awesome time on vacation! I feel rested and ready to plan more clay workshops. I'm so excited to see the enthusiasm about the workshops at JoZoara Coffee Shop, as well as the at-home workshops that are coming up!

Thanks for checking in on Little Ox, and I look forward to showing you the latest out of the kiln!

Christmas in July!

By the end of this week I will be sitting by the seashore, toes in the sand. I can't believe we are taking our very first family vacation! Dusty, Maddox and I will be leaving on Saturday morning to spend a week with Dusty's family at Gulf Shores. We are so excited to get away and spend some real family time together.

So, I've had PLENTY to catch up on before we depart. I started 3 custom orders this week, glazed and am firing (as we speak) the wonderful workshop pieces from JoZoara's Coffee Shop, and my NEW dishes are almost ready, too!

 Custom coasters in progress :)

Custom trinket dishes in progress. . . .

Soap dish, anyone?? I can't wait to open the kiln this time! I love having brand new pieces. . . These will make great soap dishes, spoon rests, tea lite dishes, or just about anything else you might dream up!

OH, and I started on CHRISTMAS! What?!

I know what you're thinking; its too early, right? WRONG! Its never too early to start your handmade gifts for the holidays. That being said, I would absolutely LOVE to start booking some pottery parties! I'm talking about ornament making, or anything else gift-worthy. Time to  have some eggnog and dust off that favorite Christmas album! Please email me if you're interested in hosting a holiday clay workshop, perfectly set up for your Christmas gift-making!

I'll be sure to update you when these guys are finished, they still have to be fired and glazed. I was too excited to not show them!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Independence Day. Maddox swam in the little pool, and the big pool, and ended his day with a leisurely ride (oh so slowly) on the four-wheeler with his Papa. I am so thankful to be free to do what I love in a place that I love.
